Best Ticketing Companies
When you’re looking for the best ticketing companies, you need to take your time comparing ticketing platforms, as well as the services provided by each company. One of the first things you should do is review your options using a cost comparison chart that puts everything related to fees in one place.
Using a cost comparison chart, the best ticketing companies will rise to the top, so you can take the next step to research all of the other ticketing features and services each company offers. For example, the cost comparison chart below compares AttendStar with iTickets and Eventbrite so you can see what your ticket buyers pay and get as well as what you get. You’ll notice after reviewing the chart that AttendStar is free for you and the ticket buyer, which is true for the other companies in the chart, too. However, AttendStar is a better deal for your ticket buyers. Keep reading after the chart to learn why.
Note that the ticket fees in the chart below INCLUDE credit card processing fees.
|Promotion Offered||All Free (see #1 below)||Available at extra cost||Not Available|

The Best Ticketing Companies Comparison
Here’s what the above chart means to you and your ticket buyers. If you choose AttendStar as your ticketing provider, you won’t be charged any fees to sell tickets, and your ticket buyers will pay lower fees for all tickets over $15 than they would if you used iTickets or Eventbrite. That means you could charge a slightly higher price for your tickets and make a higher profit if you choose AttendStar and your ticket price could still be less than or equal to the price your ticket buyers would pay if you chose iTickets or AttendStar.
As an example, imagine that you wanted to sell tickets to your event for $25.00 each. If you sold tickets through AttendStar, your ticket buyers would pay $27.23 per ticket. You can include the $2.23 fee in your ticket price or list it as a separate fee. It’s up to you. If you sold tickets through iTickets, your ticket buyers would pay $28.75 per ticket, and if you sold tickets through Eventbrite, your ticket buyers would pay $27.64 per ticket.
Furthermore, the chart shows that when you work with AttendStar, all promotional tools (like Remind Me and Ticket Buyer Buzz) are provided to you at no additional cost while you’d need to pay an added cost to get access to any kind of promotional tools with iTickets. With Eventbrite, you don’t get access to any promotional tools.
The next row in the chart tells you how quickly you’ll get your money from ticket sales from each ticket provider. AttendStar sends your money to you as your tickets are sold, while iTickets sends your money to you after your event and the payment process varies for Eventbrite.
When it comes to ticket buyer support, AttendStar offers 12 hours of telephone support for ticketing questions every day of the week (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time, 7 days per week). Eventbrite doesn’t offer ticket buyer support at all, and iTicket only offers support between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
What if you want to be able to mail tickets to your buyers? You can do it with AttendStar at no additional cost. However, U.S. mail delivery of tickets isn’t offered by Eventbrite, and iTickets charges $4.50 for mail delivery.
Finally, if you want to accept telephone ticket orders, you can do so through AttendStar for a $3.00 fee or through iTickets for a $4.50 fee. Eventbrite does not take phone orders for tickets.
Additional Considerations When Choosing a Ticketing Company
The best ticketing companies don’t just help you sell tickets. They offer a variety of services to help you ensure your event is successful. For example, AttendStar offers a variety of marketing tools built into the ticketing platform as well as marketing services such as content marketing, social media marketing, digital advertising, email marketing, and more.
In addition, AttendStar offers logistical support for traffic and parking, complete setup support (including free express setup where the AttendStar team sets up your ticketing for you), custom ticket sales pages, ticket scanning and equipment, online and offline ticket sales, and more.
Finally, security is a big concern these days, but there is more to data security and keeping your ticket buyers’ personal information private than providing a secure online checkout process. You also need to be certain that the ticketing company isn’t using your buyers’ information for other purposes.
Many ticketing companies will use your ticket buyers’ information to send their own marketing campaigns, and they might even share your buyers’ list with their other event customers or third parties. It’s essential that no one else has access to your ticket buyers’ information, so always work with a ticketing company like AttendStar, which never uses or shares your ticket buyers’ information with anyone.
